Our client was a glutinous rice processing factory located in Zhenfeng, southwestern Guizhou Province. The factory was situated in the notoriously dry plateau area of the province.
The location of the plant was particularly challenging. In fact, the client did not know sewage treatment requirements or systems. In addition, during two months there is no sewage to process and no personnel on-site to manage the environmental protection of the area or to maintain any equipment. This inevitably meant that the plant required a solution that has low maintenance, could deliver a high impact load resistance and that we could shut down for a lengthy period without the need for any water in the system.
The ECOROCK-3000 was the ideal solution, partnered with a septic tank that was configured by the customer. The local partner supported the contractors working on-site, providing installation guidance and configuring the accessories required for a successful installation. The team also revisited the site to replace a damaged liquid level switch which was causing the system to short circuit.
Once installed and operational, the quality of the effluent was excellent and very stable (data below). There were no concerns about the ability of the system to maintain these results when it is turned on again after a period of no raw water entering the system.
